WELLBEING WORKS
Client: SuperFriend
Project type: Customer Value Proposition, Capability Building, Product Roadmap
The Challenge
Develop a proposition for what Wellbeing Works might be as a product/service/experience offering, including a framework of offers for different end users. A secondary element of this project has to guide the project team through the design thinking process and ensuring capability, competence and confidence in the methodology
Approach
-
Interviews with HR and Occupational Health and Safety Managers to learn about their experience when working towards building mentally healthy workpalces
-
Codesign workship (n=15) to validate findings from interviews and also ideate concepts to align with the Value Proposition Canvas. A prioritisation of concepts was undertaken
-
Iterate and building a prototype to create the 'wellbeing self-check in' tool
Key deliverables
As part of this work, a Value Proposition Canvas was built out. A co-design workshop was run to validate the value proposition for Wellbeing Works, together with an ideation component to create service or product offers that address the value proposition. A prototype of the concept was created and resulted in the creation of the 'wellbeing check-in' form — a quick tool managers, HR professionals, and other managers can use to check the wellbeing of their teams and staff in their organisation.
My role
I led the Research Planning and Execution phase of the project, and worked alongside the Super Friend to build their HCD capability. I drafted the interview guides, and prepared the ground-work in using the Value Proposition Canvas framework (Strategyser) for this project. I ran the codesign workshop where insights ie. jobs, pains and gains from the interviews were validated. An ideation component was also held where participants created their own value propositions. I worked with the SuperFriend team and designers to further build out the wellbeing check-in form.
Impact on the business
The wellbeing self check-in form was launched by SuperFriend in June 2019, and later incorporated into its 'Looking after yourself in during Covid-19' tool in mid 2020.
